Prediction of changes in population dynamics of insect pests will be useful for adapting pest management strategies to mitigate the adverse effects of climate change on crop production. In this review, we synthesize evidence on how tropical, temperate, migratory and soil crop pests respond to changes in climate, land use and agricultural practices. This proposal uses fall armyworm as a model system to address these objectives.
