Shriver Center reflects on Special Olympics founder’s legacy

On August 11th 2009, Americans across the country mourned the death of Eunice Kennedy Shriver. According to today’s Baltimore Sun, Detroit police have admitted an “error” in their homicide submission to the FBI…an error that pushed the Motor City to the number one spot in deaths for cities with over 500,000 people. The mistake added 33 bodies to Detroit’s count, giving them a rating of 37.4 murders per 100,000 citizens….
