Earlier this evening, Baltimore County police were called to the scene of a shooting in the 700 block of Frederick Road, just minutes from campus. The suspect is still at large.

Off-Campus Shooting:
Baltimore County Police are actively investigating a shooting off campus in the Catonsville community of Baltimore County that occurred this evening, November 17th, 2009. The shooting occurred in the 700 Block of Frederick Rd. in Catonsville, Baltimore County Maryland.No further details are available at this time.
The suspect was last seen on foot in the 700 Block of Frederick Road, generally north of the UMBC campus.
Suspect Description:
Black male, (no approximate age reported); 6’ 01” height. The suspect is last seen wearing a black mask and all black clothing, and is reported armed with a gun. Suspect is last known to be in the area of the 700 Block of Frederick Road in Catonsville, Baltimore County Maryland.Vehicle Description:
None at this time.
