Yeh what does this really mean because schools in the top 100 like Drexel (88) and Rice(17) are both on the list?

I think it just means that many other universities across the country are taking note of achievements at UMBC.

It’s time to take away the “Maryland” nickname from UMCP and BRING IT BACK TO UMBC!!!!

I think it’s awesome that we’re being recognized for our strong academics and commitment to opportunities for groups of people that are traditionally underserved. Go UMBC!

However, some bad news… I just read that the Sierra Club has given us a low ranking for “greenness” — we got a D as our overall grade for how environmentally irresponsible we are. I hope there is something we can do to improve this grade in years to come.

I just hope all this recognition help sway employers to hire UMBC grads ;)
