According to today’s Baltimore Sun, Detroit police have admitted an “error” in their homicide submission to the FBI…an error that pushed the Motor City to the number one spot in deaths for cities with over 500,000 people.
The mistake added 33 bodies to Detroit’s count, giving them a rating of 37.4 murders per 100,000 citizens. Baltimore’s stands at 36.9, a close second.
Whether our fair city stands in first or second place, this reporter maintains assertions madeĀ in the previous post and hopes that the discourse concerning the root causes of the urban crime environment will continue.
