The dining hall has had wireless access for a long time.

Yes, the Dining Hall has had an internet ever since I transfered here in 2008, and probably had it even before I transferred!
This demonstrates once again how out of touch UMBC’s Student Affairs Board really is…

Really? Whenever I or any of my friends would go to late night / dinner and pull out our laptops, there would NOT be wireless. This was in the past two years. Not sure what y’all are talking about… You might have just been picking up random signals from Potomac or Sus. But the dining hall did not have it’s own router.

Yea, You can get signals occasionally, but they cut out ever minute or so and you have to reconnect. It was pretty much impossible to do something other than read a single webpage. The internet is much better now.

Just eat and get the hell out. I don’t see the point. Just more people staying longer and being annoying, but this is UMBC
