Biology Building room 369 clear

Room 369 in the Biology Building is clear for use, according to a text message from the UMBC Emergency Alert System.

A source in UMBC Facilities Management suggested that the chemical hazard was the result of a broken mercury thermometer in the lab, though this report has not yet been verified.

I’m glad the UMBC police keep us informed, but was that really worth all of those text alerts?

Broken mercury thermometer…really?

I heard the fire departmtent, police and all were there. Overkill. We broke two thermometers in a 5 min time frame in orgo 2 lab last year ( idiots trying to jam thermometers that dont fit into meltemps). Dr. Perks came in like a beast and cleaned it up with his bare hands.

Biologists are pussies.
