No. 7 UMBC has struggled to win face offs throughout the season, and tonight has been no exception.
The game has been played at No. 10 Johns Hopkins’ tempo for three periods. The Retrievers, who finished the third period down 10-6, allowed a quick Blue Jays score a minute into the fourth, marking the most goals allowed in a game so far this young season. Hopkins added another score at 12:37.
Chris Jones, who scored a goal early in the third, is the only Retriever to find net thus far in the second half.
