Coffee shop in library up and running
By: Alex Pyles -

The coffee shop in the A.O.K. Library atrium is finally open and pouring.

Pura Vida, which boasts fair-trade organic coffee, opened this week, just in time for the final exam caffeine rush.

The coffee shop will have special Finals Week hours as follows:

Wednesday, Dec. 10 – Friday, Dec. 12: 9 a.m. – Midnight
Saturday, Dec. 13: 11 a.m. – 3 p.m.
Sunday, Dec. 14: 11 a.m. – 10 p.m.
Monday, Dec. 15 – Tuesday, Dec. 16: 9 a.m. – Midnight

As a coffee addict, I have to give an initial thumbs up to the quality of the brew.

Just for fun, “Pura Vida” is spanish for “Pure Life.”

I’m hoping they mean fair-trade and not free-trade. I wouldnt boast carrying free-trade coffee.

Story should have stated fair-trade, not free-trade. Nice catch–Alex
