Find a ride home for the Holidays using facebook
By: Andrea Thomson -

A new application called “Carpool” on facebook is helping students find rides home with other students in their school or area. The application was built by Zimride which was started in 2007 and has since become the most popular ridesharing network in North America. In the span of 4 months approximately 25, 000 thousand rides have been posted on Carpool. Zimride has worked with over 20 universities to create Carpool sites to match specific campuses. If you need a ride home check this out.

I’m all for carpooling, but personally I’d feel a little sketched out hitching a ride with someone that posted on facebook (or any online site really). Maybe if I was with a group of people I already knew or something.
