Thirty orgs no longer recognized by UMBC
By: Ryan Wiggins -

The Student Organizations Committee has revoked recognition for thirty student organizations effective November 12. For twenty-nine, loss of recognition was a result of failure to submit the registration form. The other one was unable to maintain the five-member minimum.

According to a memo released by SOC, unrecognized orgs can no longer reserve space, spend UMBC money, or use the university’s name. Any group wishing to renew their recognition can pick up a hard copy of their confirmation status from the Student Organizations Space from 12-5 Monday-Friday.

For questions, e-mail stuorgscomm@umbc.edu.
