According to an e-mail circulating through the campus community, former Baltimore Ravens head coach Brian Billick will be at UMBC Wednesday, Nov. 12.
Billick, who led the Ravens to their first playoff berth and won Super Bowl XXXV in his second year as coach, has a home on the Eastern Shore and has stayed in the Baltimore area after he was dismissed by team owner Steve Bisciotti following a 6-10 season in 2007. It was only the third time a Billick-coached Ravens team finished with a losing record in his nine years as head coach.
Billick, who finished with an 85-67 record as Ravens coach, has been visiting college campuses to discuss leadership principles.
OSL and Residential Life have sent out e-mails to student groups requesting head counts from each group for the discussion, which appears to be invitation only.
