Finally, the world will see America for what it really is!!A land of opportunity and equality,I can’t wait to see what Obama does,I’m so happy I feel like things are really going to change!
I will say that we needed change. It will truly bring optimism back to politics, but lets wait and see what he really does. Is he a beacon of light, he sure is, but he has a lot to clean up, and not much of a budget to work with. Fiscal conservatisim will come back and defeat him, unless he conquors it first.
please watch it and make up your own minds for once. We have suffered with 10+ years of biased TV, Movies, Newspapers you can spare 10 minutes to get another opinion.

I voted for Obama…I’m so excited that he won…he performed like Smokin’ Joe Frazier on his campaign, his mother is White and I’m White, what do I know. He also believes in taking care of his kids, so I do I, what do you know. Oh yeah Mccain is old, he could’ve died in office why vote for him. Obama also smokes weed, look at his lips, I smoke it weed too, what do you know.

Obama made promises that are unrealistic and pragmatically he will soon have to discard them. 60% of the United States citizenry pay taxes and thus you cannot cut taxes on 95% of people, but you can give 40% welfare checks every year .
When Obama Bankrupts the coal companies and we have blackouts and brownouts I hope you have fun doing you homework in the dark!
OBAMA IS AN ECO-MARXIST who will try to destory this great country as we know it. All I have to say to Obama is ‘stop trying to destroy my country you big dope!’
‘Thank Me!’

“To each according to their need, from each according to their ability” ~ Karl Marx, “Communist Manifesto”
Sounds a lot like “Spreading the wealth.”
When he flops on his promises, I will laugh. It is absolutely unrealistic what he promised and absolutely socialistic what he will try. Does any person from Maryland see what O’Malley and Dixon are doing to this state? Wait, I forgot… let me guess… you deserve a reward, you deserve much more, you deserve what hard working people obtain, you deserve it because you say so.
I hope everyone finds a great job when you graduate so you can give your pay to someone who is lame and lazy. HA HA HA. Wake Up. If you all are the best and the brightest, our future is seriously dark.

To those who pass off Obama as a “Socialist,” or a “Marxist,” how badly did you fail your Poly Sci courses? Do some research into the definition of the term “Socialism” and come back. I’m sure the people who live or have lived in a socialist system are laughing at you right now.
We already have banks infused with money by the government. That’s the biggest news of socialism I’ve heard in a while, and McCain made such a big deal about his support for those bailout plans. Hypocrisy much? Or maybe just another effect of McCain’s inflammatory campaign.
I think Obama is a good candidate for bringing the American people together, it’s the keystone of many of his speeches. McCain made the same points in his tasteful concession speech, we need to unite as a nation if we are ever going to face the many challenges ahead for our country.

McCain is not a conservative and no one ever claimed he was first off.
Conservatives did not support the bailout, listen to talk radio.
Socialism as a system is not currently employed in America, so of course we do not understand what socialism is like in a practical sense and thank god we do not!
As Obama has said, “Just Speeches, Just Words…” well yes Mr. Obama that is all you are just words and speeches because 95% of people do not pay taxes 60% do. Of the 60% who pay taxes the top 10% pay over 90% of the tax bill; yes the rich are already getting raked by the sloth!
When Obama is giving out welfare checks to people who do not pay taxes, yes it is socialistic!
‘Stop trying to ruin my country!’
‘Thank Me!’

Obama = democrat = radical liberal = coward socialist.
McCain = republican = liberal = partial socialist
Ron Paul = basically a libertarian = conservative = mostly capitalist
Bob Barr = libertarian = ultra conservative = capitalist
Bob Barr > Ron Paul > McCain > Obama
Looks like America has failed to me. The people of this country need to think (actually take time to learn a little history and to research the candidates) before they vote. Socialism is proven in country after country not to work. I would say that if you ask most Americans the question “Is socialism bad” most would say yes. The fact of the matter is many people never cared to really research the candidates and what they stood for. So now we get Obama, who with his socialist buddies in control of Congress (both Republicans and Democrats (extreme socialists)) will attempt to ruin our country. This shouldn’t really be news for anyone though. It has started with the worst president of all time, Franklin Roosevelt, and since socialism has spread throughout our country. People are too selfish and impatient. They want every right, and want it now. Socialism seems like it can give that to them. That is until it fails. And it will. Hopefully our nation does not get that far before we realize we are going in the wrong direction. And if it does, I for one, will no longer be here.

In response to Obama not being a socialist by Greg.
Wealth Redistribution = socialism
welfare = socialism
state funded health care = socialism
I agree that McCain is not much better, but what about Obama makes you think hes not a socialist. You just do not want to admit that you are also a socialist. No democrat or moderate republican wants to. As such, I have much more respect for those that come right out and state their point of view. There are people who are not afraid to call themselves socialists. And for that they deserve respect. While that support a system that always fails, and I think their views are completely wrong, I can respect them for not hiding behind a euphemism for what they are. Democrats on the other hand, I have no respect. Republicans again, are not much better.

wow. you guys are funny. especially the ones calling Obama a socialist. Thats cute. It really is. Especially with the side barbs about lazy people on welfare. Let me add just one quick thing about that. When AFDC became TANF, laziness was no longer an option. Under TANF, if you are on welfare, you have to work. period. being in school no longer counts as working. You can only be on welfare for a maximum of two years. Period. At 24 months and 1 day, you are assed out. The more kids you have, the less money you get each month. Before we go calling people lazy, go do some research.
A wise woman once said, “get your facts straight, or shut up b***h!”

So let me get this straight. Matt, you have no respect for the 63 million people that voted for Obama over McCain? I find it ludicrous that people are accusing Obama of socialism when OUR CONSTITUTION DOES NOT ALLOW IT TO HAPPEN. Socialism is NOT POSSIBLE in America. Furthermore, if anyone tried to enact a socialist agenda, not only would it conflict with the constitution and the checks and balances that make our system work, but the American people would not allow it! And i don’t mean being a Democrat, i mean being a SOCIALIST. They are very, very, different.
I’m much more worried about the last policies Bush is trying to enact before he’s kicked out of the white house. If you look at the facts, George W. Bush has done more to destroy American’s civil rights than any Democratic president in history. And if we’re still talking about socialism, he’s done more for that than any president in history too.

Oh and also. Obama is a constitutional lawyer. The idea that he would have a socialist agenda that directly conflicts with the Constitution is an idiots’ hatchet job.
Shane -
November 10, 2008, 12:55 pm
Practicing or teaching constitutional law does not come with the requisite of agreeing in part or completley with the constitution, it only entails understanding the document. In fact Obama views the constitution as being a vehicle of negative rights. In the past (before running for president of course) Obama has showed favor to adding a new bill of rights to the constitution; this bill would in his opinion reflect positive rights or give more power to the government. Reflecting on this it is known that socialism and communism call for powerful central governments which correlate with the idea of positive rights that Obama supports.
This country was started to get away from gov control and taxes… The Obama plan does the exact opposite, also it is a proven fact that the gov actually taxes in less money when taxes are raised due to slowed economic activity and frankly why the F*** work when 50% of your money gets taken right off the bat. Theres a reason the market dumped over 1000 pts on the obama elect news in 2 days, the plans will ruine the fundamentals of companys trying to make it large and small. Obamas all talk but wow can he brainwash a bunch of idiot “young people” very impressive.

My conservative brothers,
Don’t let the recent election get you down, Although the man-child Hussein has just been elected as the President of this great land, I assure you his influence will be minimal after the 2010 congressional elections. I am predicting a repeat of the 1994 Republican Revolution in which America rose up and voted against the foolish Democratic candidates in overwhelming numbers. Although I know things look dark now my friends, we must take solace in knowing that America will correct this mistake, and we reclaim the glory of the Reagan years. In the meantime my friends, listen to Rush Limbaugh on 630 AM WMAL on Monday-Friday 12-3pm.
