After what may have been their worst outing of the season in a loss against Binghamton, the UMBC men's basketball team bounced back in a big way with a shocking 56-55 victory over conference-leading Maine just three days later."I think after the Binghamton game we were disappointed that we lost, but more disappointed in the way we lost; we were out hustled and out played." said the team's lone senior Matt Spadafora, who scored four points and grabbed six rebounds in 35 minutes of action against Maine. Men's track & field medal four times at GMU Invitational

On Saturday the majority of the men's track and field team traveled to George Mason, while a select few went to the Penn State Invitational. In their first action in two weeks, the Retrievers looked to come up big against schools from the Maryland/DC area.At George Mason, freshman Cameron McDearmon medaled twice in the field competition. McDearmon placed first in the men's shot put with his throw of 14.86 meters.
